I said yes.

So I am going off the Met and will be entering the study in 2 months. The study will include u/s monitoring, bloodwork, and either clomid or femara (double blind...I think that is what you call it).

I will continue to monitor myself with the CBEFM, OPKs, etc, but no Met. If I get a surge, I get a surge. NKD is flexible, available, and willing. God love him.

The only question I have, is if I get pregnant while not being on the study, will being off the Met cause a problem. Should I jump back on it as soon as I see those double lines? I will cross that road when we get to it...oh how I hope we have to cross that road.

Anyway, Elana nominated me for a little blog award, so here it is:

I have to say 10 things about myself and then give this award to 10 fellow bloggers.
Here we go!
10 Things About Me:
1) I am a 5th grade teacher in a very small school district outside of Ann Arbor, MI.
2) I collect children's books and my classroom library is huge.
3) I'I had petit mal epilepsy as a child. My last seizure was when I was 12.
4) I haven't eaten any red meat (or pork..which is still red meat in my book) since 1994.
5) I am vomit-phobic and haven't thrown-up since I was in 5th or 6th grade. Not even when I was pregnant.
6) I am pretty good at self-diagnosing myself with the help of Dr. Google. In 2001 I knew I had Scarlet Fever. B laughed at me and called me Beth from Little Women. After a trip to Urgent Care, it was confirmed. That sh*t knocked me out for a good month.
7) I was dating someone else when I met B. Our mutual friends worked hard to get us together. Almost 10 years later, here we are.
8) I put my deodorant on with my right hand, both arms. I look like a monkey for a second, but I never have to switch hands.
9) My dad was the only one of his brother and sister born here. My aunt and uncle were born in Scotland where my dad's family is from (Paisley, outside of Glasgow). My dad was a bagpiper and in a pipe band until his bag-pipers were stolen. I've never been over there to see it or visit family.
10) I am very good at making people laugh. B and I laugh almost uncontrollably at least once a day. We are hilarious.
I give this award to:
JackieMac at Is it my turn yet?

Being off Met and getting pregnant isn't an issue, because you can start it up as soon as you find out and then stay on through week 12. Good luck!!!

Caveat: I do not have PCOS, I am not on Met, this is just what I've picked up from my friends-

I don't think it's a problem to get pregnant not on it, as if you need to, you can start it immediately and take it. Also, from what I've gleaned, its role is more in improving egg quality beforehand, to help folks get pregnant.

But again, that's just what I've heard.

Exciting about the study! That sounds like a really amazing opportunity.

Best of luck on this cycle and hopefully you'll be able to just start up again. Do you know if there's a chance of getting a placebo instead of clomid or femera?

I totally tried putting my deodorant on with the same hand today. Epic fail. You're seriously talented. You could go on Letterman. Just sayin'.

Oh, and I'm excited for you to get on this study. Hopefully you won't need it much though, because you'll get pregnant while your body is getting used to being au naturel again. :)

oh hi-- I am here from Thinking Miracles because some posting glitch caused your Sugar Doll list to show up on hers, and I very excitedly responded to #8 because THAT IS ME :) You. Are. Not. Alone.

Oh, and I am adding you to me reading list just for that!
