What a beautiful sight it was to see two things this morning...a 1.2 degree shift in my BBT and the little egg on the fertility monitor.
Woot! Woot!
Last night we were able to get our donor agreement signed before heading out to the Tegan and Sara concert (which was awesome). After listening to Northern State (who were also awesome), I was looking at the crest above the stage at this particular historic venue. On the crest were three letters, in this order: BFP. Once I noticed it, I explained to B what BFP means in the TTC community (of which she is a part of, but not quite obsessed with as myself). She smiled, and so did I.
It was hard to stay focused on the jammin music last night because all I could think of was our first insemination today. Perhaps I won't get this excited every time, especially if we have to do this a while, but I am REAL excited.
So here is the plan for the next few days:
Thursday (today): B will pick up donation on the way home from work. (KD lives about 15-20 minutes away). She will have to keep it warm. We will inseminate around 5:30pm tonight.
Friday: be patient and wait until Saturday
Saturday: Hopefully B will be able to pick up second donation on the way home from work again. Again, she will have to keep it warm. We will hopefully inseminate around 4pm. KD will be arriving at our house around 5ish to go to a potluck/game night, but we may have to delay our arrival if I am laying upside down. Perhaps KD and B can head on over to the game night and I can meet up after, since its only about 5 minutes away from our house.
I should expect blood or the ability to test around Dec. 14th.
Bring on our first ever TWW!

if she puts the GIFT in between her bra and boob....it should keep it warm.....good luck to the both of you....
Yay for a positive OPK! Here's hoping the next positive will be on the HPT!!
Don't ya just love TTC abbreviations?
Lots of luck ladies!
Speaking from my (very) recent experience--the first insem is a mighty exciting moment. Best of luck to you all!
Our first insem was sooo exciting. We were at a clinic for it and when it was over and we got in the car, Kim just sat there for a minute and then said, "I can't believe I just did that!!" And then we laughed hysterically.
Tell her to say nice things to the swimmers. Our nurse said "Make friends with it." Good advice, I think. :)
Good Luck! I will be waiting on the side lines to hear the news!
I was so excited the first time I got a positive on the OPK! It took forever and I didn't think I had ovulated that month. I had my first insemination a day later, amazingly got pregnant, and we are now the proud parents of a 7 month old.
Good luck. Sending positive vibes your way that the same thing happens to you!
