Spotting

J is spotting today. It's very light and brownish.
We are trying not to freak out, but I am nervous.
I'm sure she is nervous.

I'm half tempted to pack her in the car and drive her to the ER right now, but I think I'll just have her call the doctor in the morning.

I know spotting is normal, but we are so close to 12 weeks.
We've come so far without any problems.
And we saw a heartbeat at our 8w appt.

Maybe I'll just drive up to the 24-hour mart and buy a doppler?

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Brown spotting should be nothing to worry about!!

Love and hugs!

Oh no. Best wishes to you!

The dopplers are sometimes hard to use, but you could definitely get one to try it. I just wouldn't try to take a lack of a doppler heartbeat as a sign that there isn't a heartbeat, you know?

I hope it's reassuring to you that we had spotting early on, too, and everything turned out fine, though we were very nervous as well. Hopefully your care providers can provide more reassurance tomorrow!

Kim also had spotting early on with both pregnancies. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but I KNOW it's hard not to worry. I freaked each time.

I hope all is okay. I am not sure what kind of doppler you are thinking... but the ones they use in the dr's office are usually the best ones to get. www.heartbeatsathome.com is where you can rent them and they were awesome to work with. I highly recommend getting one at some point. They really do help with anxiety.
