Was your first insemination surreal?
I cannot even believe we did that.
I cannot believe there are little swimmers inside of me.
I guess part of the surrealness is the fact that I've only ever been with women, so sperm brings in a whole new factor.
B and I have always felt that God has a sense of humor. Sometimes He shows His presence in different ways. I think He did last night...
After the insemination, as I was laying in bed with my pelvis tilted and elevated, I was watching Jeopardy! (A little background-KD and I are two of the most competitive people I know and whenever he comes over for dinner-about once every two weeks-we watch Jeopardy! and have a little competition. I have yet to beat him...damn him for being so smart!) Anyway, as I am watching Jeopardy!, the first category that the contestants went through was "Stupid Answers," but that was quickly followed by The "con" (or some similar title...which also relates back to Tegan and Sara, but I digress). The $200 answer was "fertilization that leads to pregnancy."

I think God had giggles at our expense a couple of other times last night too. For example:
"If you want a bite of my hot dog all you need to do is ask, instead of looking at me like I'm the tastiest piece of meat you've ever seen in your life!"
I mean...who eats a hot dog after an insemination anyway?!?

It's a great sign that you are relaxed and comfortable. The sign sure helps too! My fingers are crossed for you and your swimmers.
Yes it is surreal. I kept thinking " I have sperm in me" whoa. I think jeapardy thing is a good sign!! :-) fingers crossed!
Congrats. I remember being overcome with the idea that I might actually get pregnant for real the first time we insemmed. Here's hoping it's lucky firsts for you.

I remember everything about the first time. It all plays in my mind, but it's crazy that I barely remember anything about all the other times.
It was definitely surreal. I remember thinking, "I could be pregnant!" It's just funny to be in that situation. Everything is surreal during trying to conceive, getting pregnant and having a baby.
