I know I am IN my 5th month, but when someone asks how far along I am, do I say 5 months or 4? I'm confuzzled. Most people are content with a week marker (almost 20 weeks), but it seems like older people and guys do not compute.
What do you guys think?
U/s is on Thursday. I'm excited to find out the gender, but I think I am more excited just to see our little Nugget on the screen moving around and getting so big. We haven't seen him/her since 9 weeks!

It's maddening, isn't it? I used this as a cheat http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancylength.html, which would put you at 5 months... but ultimately I gave up and basically said, "I am x weeks," or something like that, because it also feels like there is a world of difference between the third & fourth month or fourth & fifth, especially when you are tracking every tremor of change. For those for whom it does not compute, those nuances are probably lost anyway, though.
4 months and once you have completed 20 weeks then 5 months
been quietly following. so happy for y'all :)
I usually just used weeks. And then I'd smile and laugh and say "ah, pregnancy math" or something like that. It's so frustrating.
I can't wait until Thursday!
I never know what to say either, so I usually go with the weeks too. But recently I've had people look confused I'm trying out the month thing. I'm 21 weeks so I say I'm finishing my 5th month!
If you're less than 20 weeks, I would say 4 1/2 months or almost 5 months. Once you hit 20 weeks then you can say 5 months. This is why you don't start saying you're 9 months pregnant until you actually hit 36 weeks. (At that point you're in your 10th month, but have you ever heard someone say they were 10 months pregnant?)
I know this don't have anything to do with this blog post, but I'm so excited for your u/s tomorrow!! I will be stalking your blog to hear what's the outcome!!! =))).. (fingers crossed that it's a girl) =)))
